Finally after 15 months of chatting and hoping, little 'Bisko' arrives from Denmark.  Named after our favourite place in Sweden 'Abisko'.  We have been offered many dogs over the years and as our oldies retire after an epic 2023 season, we felt we need to make decisons.  To either retire completely and enjoy our oldies or to add now before the age gap becomes too large from our youngest at 5.5 years, baring in mind we wait until dogs are 2 before we do any work.   This 2 year 'gap' gives us chance to enjoy showing and obedience and set the essential quality time that gives us then 10 years of easy ownership.
Kebne will still be of working age to set the foundation in Bisko (2025) to then hopefully pass on to her offspring for a team for 2027, health testing permitting.
We will be now enrolling Bisko on the good citizen pet obedience classes and ringcraft.  So she can do some light showing and be the active pet primarily like all our dogs.
Bisko at 7.5 weeks of age when we flew over to meet the litter and Bisko as a baby.

With thanks..... on this special breeding of 20 year old semen.  I cannot thank Bitten enough for conditioning as her own for these extra 8 weeks and preparing her in every way possible for her planned life. Nothing fazes her, including the 680 mile van journey, van-camping & the loud HGV filled ferry ride. Not a peep or a poop.

I know she exhausted you both with that level of devotion and committed time. It’s been beautiful to watch on our video calls. 2 extendible leads on 2 puppies whilst filming, talking and trying to pick up a poop will always make me chuckle.

She’s here on permanent loan and you will always be her #1 Mum.

Bisko’s primarily function of “pets that do stuff”, we look forward to fun obedience and hitting the occasional show scene or anything else she fancies. She already has a ‘Very Promising’ ribbon from her debut Puppy Show in Denmark.

In this 15 month planning process I managed to get one final massive sledding trip in 2023 with my other 4, bagging 2x WLDA. Which made this extra step even more poignant, knowing another set of team dogs MAY be within grasp in a few years time with Bitten & Henning’s blessing.

Exciting times ahead for team ICECLIMB as we merge the pack and rotate the fun so everyone gets the 1:1 they all deserve in whichever life stage they are at 🥰

With also massive thanks to my besties for puppy viewing city breaks, dog sitting and to Mary-Jane for her beautiful Christmas tree decoration from Benny ❤️

Bisko is health tested to date for: non-carrier of Long coat, PCD, CD, AMPN.  Which is great for the future.

Eyes clear: 21/04/24. Hips 3:3  & Elbows 0:0 18/04/24.
